Tender 67

Tender 67

Tender 67 was purchased in 1988 at a cost of $67,000. The main purpose of Tender 67 is to haul water to fires in the rural areas of our district. Tender 67 holds 1,800 gallons of water and carries a 2,000 gallon portable water tank. Tender 67 is capable of dumping all of its 1,800 gallons of water in under 90 seconds through any one of the three Newton quick dumps. Tender 67 has a 250 gallon a minute pump. Tender 67 has a front mounted turret and the capabilities to pump and roll that makes this unit an ideal grass and field fire vehicle. Tender 67 carries one 1½ inch pre-connect hose, one pre-connect 1 inch booster (red) line, and 500 feet of 3-inch fire hydrant supply line. Tender 67 also carries a variety of rakes and shovels for fighting grass and field fires. Tender 67 responds to all structure fires, grass and field fires, and vehicle fires.
