This website was created with the community in mind, not only that of The Village of Towanda but also that of McLean County. As a first response agency to various types of calls we felt it important for the community and the county to be aware of what we offer in terms of equipment, personnel, certifications, and available resources.
The goal in mind is to make everyone aware of our training calendar, public events, fire safety awareness, and many other events and classes as it relates not only to the fire service, but community protection. With that being said please take time to look around and ask questions. We hold meetings every second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month. Feel free to stop in as someone is always here!

The Towanda Community Fire Protection District's FOIA Officer is Brett Lueschen. Freedom of Information requests may be submitted at the Towanda Fire Department at 203 W. Jackson St. in Towanda, IL. Requests may be mailed to P.O. Box 227, Towanda, IL 61776. Requests may also be submitted by clicking on the Contact Us link located to the left side of this webpage and completing the form to send request by email.
